[TIP] 2026 Fastest Public DNS Servers To Boost Browsing Speed Experience

Top Free DNS Servers To Speed Up Your Total Internet Browsing Experience!

Without Domain Name System (DNS), we would have to memorize all the complex IP addresses instead of using hostnames like mabzicle.com—you would have to type in the address 192.31.186.146!

And doing such could make our brains about to explode... well.
Not really, though!...
DNS

Thank technology; it's a good thing we don't need high brain capacity to memorize all these numbers.

Instead, we are more easily remembered and familiar with when using hostnames (e.g., mabzicle.com).

Oh, Wait! DNS is used not only for it; it is also used in the browsing experience. I don't think you have the patience to wait for these slow-loading websites — that is, it will, in effect, get you frustrated!

However, with these FREE PUBLIC DNS servers, you can experience high browsing speeds. Is it cool, right? But how?

Before we dive into DNS, we should cover a few key details.

What is DNS?
DNS (Domain Name System) is a database that maps domain names to IP addresses for easier lookup. To illustrate, DNS is like a phonebook for the Internet, translating domain names into IP Addresses that computers understand. For a short note: The computer reads only 0 and 1, which is the binary system. Thanks to DNS, we don't need those massive numbers.

For example:
  • mabzicle.com(domain name) translated to IP address 192.31.186.146!
Unlike the phonebook, DNS updates its database quickly, so that whenever there is a network change, it does not affect end users.

Example:
  • For mabzicle.com, you are not aware of the change of its IP address. You can still access it without noticing that its IP address changes.
Don't worry, when you connect to your Modem, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) already assigns network configuration, including DNS servers.
How to check your DNS server?
With Command Prompt, you can display your network settings.
These are the steps: (Note: I tested only in IPv4)
  1. Click Start, then type cmd to open a command prompt
  2. In your command prompt black window, type this command: ipconfig /allIt displays all IP configurations in your system.
  3. See the screenshot here; You will find the DNS server, IPv4 address, Default Gateway, etc.

How to add DNS servers to your system?
It might be complicated, but I do hope you are on the same track as me.

Steps:

1. Go to your control panel, then network center

or with this address: Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center

This is Network and Sharing Center
This is the Network and Sharing Center
2. Click on Change adapter settings

In your Network Connections, you will see more than 2
In your Network Connections, you will see more than 2.

3. Next, where do you add these DNS servers? Here, I used a USB Modem, not the LAN (Local Area Connection). To do so, right-click the icon, then click Properties. And choose Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), see highlighted below. And click properties. You will see the General tab properties for it.

4. Here, in General, properties: Below it, I added some DNS servers like 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google DNS servers), and you can just click ok, however.

Where you put manual IP and DNS addresses.
Where you put the manual IP and DNS addresses.
5. If you want to add multiple DNS servers(like you want to add all other DNS servers), you can click the Advanced button and look for the add.

Add some DNS TCP/IP DNS server in the Advanced TCP/IP Settings.
Add a DNS TCP/IP DNS server in the Advanced TCP/IP Settings.

Now click OK and feel the changes it brings. I recommend that you MUST add these DNS servers. Don't worry, it won't damage your system and will only add a backup DNS Server to improve browsing speed.

If you find it more useful, feel free to share this post with your friends. Thank you :)
