LG's World's First 88-inches with 8K OLED Display

When it comes to TV display, we highly appreciate those 4k and HDR technology but just recently, at CES 2018, LG shows off its World's first 88-inch 8K OLED display! It's the largest and highest-resolution OLED screen to date!

The Korean manufacturer, LG, shows off its highest resolution 8K OLED display and is celebrating the start of the new year with 88 diagonal inches.
"OLED is clearly a next-generation technology leader and for this reason, LG Display is accelerating its research and development into OLED so that we can provide differentiated products to customers and markets," said the company's In-Byung Kang.
OLED technology makes ultra-high resolution possible without sacrificing image brightness, and while keeping power requirements low when compared to backlit LCD panels. And since OLED panels don't require backlighting, they can also be made super slim!

Before 88" with 8K OLED display, there was an OLED screen size of 77 inches but only came in 4K resolution.

With its main rival, Samsung Display has long shifted its focus from OLED TVs to QLED TVs, LG Display is now the sole large-format OLED display maker in the world.
