Is January 30, 2017 to be Declared as Holiday?

There has been a hot topic whether January 30, 2017, to be declared as a Special Non-Working Holiday or not. There are a lot of mixed comments on social media sites — there's negative and there's optimistic approach, yet, should Palace declare it as Holiday?
January 30, 2017 to be Declared as Holiday?

Last January 24, 2017 (Tuesday){Manila Bulletin}, it was the Quezon City Representation, Winston Castelo, urged Malacañang Palace to declare January 30 a non-working holiday to give the Filipinos the time to witness the coronation of Miss Universe since the Philippines is hosting the said beauty pageant.

"It would be a pity if our countrymen miss the opportunity to witness in their own backyard a contest where Filipinas have proven to excel and become certified champions on beauty and brains," Castelo added.
Added to the suggestion, last January 26 (Thursday) {ABS-CBN}, Tourism Secretary, Wanda Corazon Teo, said that it will be favorable if the Palace to declare the January 30 as a special non-working holiday.
"so everybody could watch....We are agreeable to that. I hope the President considers," ~ Teo said.

It should be noted the President Rodrigo R. Duterte already given a go-signal for the inauguration event to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena and there has no advice if he will skip the beauty pageant.

January 30 (Monday) NOT a special non-working holiday

While the Palace fully supports the Miss Universe beauty pageant, President Rodrigo Duterte will not declare January 30 as a special non-working holiday, says Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea!

The Palace also stressed that no disruption of work and services in the government offices because of the pageant. {Memorandum Circular No. 13}

Sorry guys! We will work!

In a post {Rappler}, Executive Secretary, Salvador Medialdea, texted a NO DECLARATION to Rappler on January 26, Thursday.
