Google Unveils Its Language Translation Tool

If you are a traveler around the world or a wanderlust type of person, this tool can help you understand different languages in the various countries you visit — it maybe a business trip or for leisure — either way, language is such an important factor for traveling.


As such, Google released its right output language translation tool similar with its https://translate.google.com/. But this time, you can snap a photo of the text then an app will recognize the words and translate it into 46 different languages on your phone screen. Is it awesome?

The app translator uses camera lens to take a photo snap containing texts(local or foreign language), then it will analyze and recognize those words, and in a split of seconds, it will translate to 36 different languages in your smartphone screen.

Indeed, it will be easier to navigate street signs in other foreign countries. While using the Translate app, you can just point your camera at the sign or text, instantly translated and be shown on your screen even without internet connection.

This instant translation currently (January 2015) works for translation from English to and from French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish, and we’re trying to expand to more languages.

The updated app platform is now available for Android and iOS versions.
