Independence Day 2 Movie Sequel on BIG SCREEN in 2016

Movies in the sequel are always enticing to watch by the moviegoers, and it gives extra spice to an anticipation of the twists and changes in that next movie installment. Who would ever forget the Film Independence Day — where Aliens (distinct species) invaded the world?

This movie is an American science-fiction disaster film with a combined of domestic and international box office gross of an incredibly big amount of $817,400,891.00, which in the year 1996, Independence Day became the second-highest worldwide gross income of all time.

A sequel, Independence Day 2 has been scheduled to be released on July 1, 2016, and many speculations arise as to who will be its cast, who will come back, and who will not be able to be part of the film.  Bill Pullman (Pres. Thomas J. Whitmore) and Dave Levinson (Jeff Goldblum) are expected to come back. Definitely, there will be new and younger characters that may become more prominently featured in a third installment, if there is.

Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin have been talking up the possibility of an Independence Day since its release scheduled day. The story will eventually pick up in real-time after 20 years where humanity has spent the last two decades harvesting the alien technology. Plot-wise, we might think we know about the possible story which involves Alien reinforcements and battles between surviving humans, but the story is still hammered out.

“It’s still some of the same characters, but also new younger characters; it’s a little bit like the sons take over,” says Emmerich. Michael B. Jordan is rumored to play an unspecified role as well.  Further, Fox ruled out Will Smith due to a busy schedule and of the steep fee.

There are some Alien films released this past year - some of which are worse and turned out to be a second-rate. Therefore, making this second sequel another blockbuster film is quite challenging.
