Anyone can write an ad and you don’t have to be a professional writer or advertising guru to write one. So long as you follow the tips shared below, you’ll be able to write a good and effective classifieds like a pro.

WRITING GOOD CLASSIFIED ADS
  • 1.) Write attention-grabbing headlines—it is very important that you write a good headline for your Classified Ads. Attention-grabbing headlines can make your ad stand out among the rest. Bear in mind that you’re gonna be competing with others who are selling or promoting similar products as you. If you make your headline catchy and interesting, you’re likely to steer a reader’s attention to your ad and you might even convince him/her to buy your products.
  • 2.) Keep the reader interested—once you've attracted the reader’s attention with your headline, you’ll need to make sure they stay interested long enough for you to emphasize the benefits of purchasing the product you're offering them. Provide solutions to their problems and focus on what your product can offer them. Remember to keep it simple but convincing enough to move them to action.
  • 3.) Evoke desire from your potential customers—write the main body or content of your ad in a way that it causes potential customers to desire the product you'readvertising. How do you do this? Simple, use visually-stimulating word and descriptions that capture the reader’s imagination. Provide your readers assurance that they'll be getting the best value for their money too.
  • 4.) Move prospective buyers to action—how do you convince someone who’s just browsing through your ads into a buyer? One of the best ways to do this is to use “Now” in your ad. Using “Buy now!” in your ad would encourage immediate action from the prospective buyer.

Once you’ve incorporated all of these into your ad, you'll be an expert in writing effective ads in no time. Don’t forget to leave your contact details so clients will be able to reach you. You can also add your website address so prospective buyers can check out what other products you offer. This will help build your reputation as a trusted vendor.
