Nvidia Unveils Maxwell: a Next-Gen GPU

Maxwell, tagged as the most advanced GPU ever made, was recently launched by NVIDIA. Nvidia fanboys surely will love this new hardcore GPU.

For several years, I have been using NVIDIA as my source of creative in terms of making designs or editing videos. But it is too way outdated. Compare to Radeon, NVIDIA works more great on editing side. I know radeon works pretty perfect with games with matching AMD processor.

In an event, Nvidia had officially launched its first full and monstrous Maxwell chip — The GM204. The GM204 is accordingly a monstrous chip with 5.2 billion transistors, 2048 CUDA cores spread across its 16 streaming multiprocessors, 2MB of L2 cache, 64 ROPS units, 256bit DDR5, 16SMM, 128 Texture units, 16 geometric units, supports first HDMI 2.0 , 5k 4k @ 60fps & power-saver up to 165Watts

The GM204 chip also capable up to 4K MST displays, it has the maximum output of 500x3200 (5k) resolution.
