Nokia Normandy Runs Android Kitkat OS

Just last year, Nokia, Finnish Corporation, answered that they didn't opt to make Android-powered devices on their smartphone because shortly it is perilous that one company could come to dominate Android ecosystem.
In fact, in a Guardian post dated 13 July 2013, Nokia's Chief Executive, Stephen Elop, stated that he choose Windows Phone operating system over Android is that he wants Nokia to be the Third Alternative. Or the fact that Microsoft will soon own Nokia?

He said:
"I'm very happy with the decision we made. What we were worried about a couple of years ago was the very high risk that one hardware manufacturer could come to dominate Android. We had a suspicion of who it might be, because of the resources available, the vertical integration, and we were respectful of the fact that we were quite late in making that decision. Many others were in that space already.
He added:
"Strategically that's important for us [to be offering an alternative OS] because having a conversation with [chief executive] Ralph de la Vega at AT&T, the first step in the conversation is the recognition that we're not Apple, we're not Samsung/Android - used to be Android/Samsung, it's actually about Samsung now - we're a third alternative."

Well, the first options are Apple/iOS and major dominant corporation Samsung/Android.

But I guess time changes everything, why? Because the tech world was flooded with leaks about Nokia particularly this Normandy prototype which RUNS with ANDROID (With its latest version, Android Kitkat).

Just what happen with Nokia? Are they ready for the competition on Android OS system?

Now, I learn that Nokia has leaked over its new device Normandy running on Android with virtual buttons. From the photo leaks above, it should be DUAL SIM, with Lockscreen homepage, Viber, and Skype app.

This post gives another leak from China that makes it beautiful clearer specifications of Normandy. Normandy is a codenamed for Nokia RM-980 A110 and is reported to have the following specs:

Display: 4inch FWVGA display with 480x854 pixels resolution
Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon (suggested its Snapdragon 200 chipset with quad-core cortex A5/Adreno 203 or Quadcore Cortex A7/Adreno 302)
Operating System: Android 4.4.1 KitKat
Camera: 5MP rear-facing camera
Features: DUAL SIM

Lastly, sources say that the team will be working with this "Project N." To loyal Nokia fans, it's a good time to relax and just wait for this Nokia Normandy. Lower expectation. These rumors may sound way too good to be true. We just don't exactly know it in the near future.
