Starmobile Diamond X1: First Octa-Core Processor Phablet [Revealed]

Year 2013 is slowly fading to become 2014, yet a Filipino Company, Starmobile,  first announced last November announced with its pre-detailed information(specs) about their Starmobile Diamond X1 phablet to be known as First Octa-core powered processor.

It was revealed recently by Rappler that its a 6-inch screen device and is powered by MediatTek MT6592 chipset(launches world's first octa-core processor) which features the FIRST Octa-core Cortex-AZ CPU running on Android that has a roughly 1.7 GHz speed.

MT6592 chipset is a 28nm chip with 8 low-power cortex-A6 cores that uses model of ARMS big.LITTLE architecture that could operate between 1.7 GHz and 2Ghz. 

It appears that MT6592 chipset beats SnapDragon 800 in benchmarking, power consumption, and its temperature.

Qualcomm should feel nervous about this news. Is it a nightmare then?

Starmobile Diamond X1 will be named as the first Philippine-branded powered by octa-core phablet.
