Globe Business Launched its HealthCloud During Digital Life Congress

During the Digital Life Congress which held at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Pasay City, Globe Business announced and launched its so-called Globe HealthCloud that gives and contributes on health improvement particularly in the Philippines. 

The said launching witnessed by local health sectors and major stakeholders in the Local ICT industry, ushered by CEO Breakfast forum, and tendered by Globe Business.

Participants were welcomed by Gil Genio, Globe Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Business and International Markets and Chief Strategy Officer, who provides a coverage on healthcare to address to majority of Filipinos and makes patient-care provided by healthcare authorities through quick health analytics useful to Doctors.

Genio stated that:
“Many of the advanced IT solutions like analytics, clinical diagnostics systems, and the like are important and necessary as they presuppose the adoption of electronic medical records (EMR) and essentially the digitization of patient records"

In addition, the said Forum was privileged to have a speaker from DOH or Department of Health Undersecretary Teodoro Herbosa, MD, who was very active on healthcare and spoke about the future patient-and-health-care in the Philippines.

Herbosa explained that:
“All of us are working to improving information support for better healthcare delivery. Our quick wins will translate into shorter waiting times in emergency departments, efficient hospital services, and improved client-based health services,”
A certain discussion which moderated by Raymund Azurin, CEO of Zuelig Pharma Corporation, who introduced innovators in ICT and Medical fields. Dr. Michael Muin, Healthcare IT consultant, outlined the general trend and its importance for ICT adoption.

Also, Dr. Eustagio Abay II, American Board of Neurological Surgions diplomate, emphasized the importance of ICT systems particulary the CLOUD.

Meanwhile, Dr. Elmer Soriano, Country Director of ACCESS Health International Philippines, batted for an ENERGIZED LOCAL HEALTH SYSTEM.

As with the health maintenance organizations, Nicky Montoya, MD, President and CEO of Medicard, called for peers to invest in business intelligence where it could obtain available information – ready to analyzed and managed health to prevent or cure clients from diseases.

Globe HealthCloud formally launched in the panel discussion with selected members of the broadcast, print and digital media.
