Qualcomm Technologies unveiled its new successor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (which is common processor built-in on most smartphones in market today), Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 marks it as "Ultra HD" to deliver high performance on multi-media such as video, camera, and graphics.

In Qualcomm Inc. press released dated November 20, 2013, the company – Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., introduced and announced its new and next generation Mobile processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Ultra HD 4K resolution, which designs to deliver high definition, quality, and performance on graphics.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Ultra HD also features new Adreno 420 GPU that makes 40% more graphics processing power. This next generation processor is the first mobile processor to offer great system-level Ultra HD support, roughly could support 4K video capture and playback, and give enhancement on dual camera Image Signal Professor.
