Acer Launched Iconia W4 with Windows 8.1: Specs and Price

Microsoft's Windows 8 was released last year, and it has a major update from 8 to 8.1 version. This version is available free download to some current users.

Now, gadget makers already have done building their products to have Windows 8.1. One of these companies is Acer.

On last October 17, Acer unveiled its new Iconia W4, 8" screen sized tablet running Windows 8.1. This new model from Acer essentially an upgraded version of Iconia W3. The older model, according to CNET, has a terrible screen and runs with Intel Atom processor.

However, Acer Iconia W4 is now powered by 4th generation Atom (Bay Trail Family) processor which runs at a speed of 1.8 GHz, 1280x800 IPS display resolution, 2MP front-facing camera and 5MP rear camera,  2 GB RAM, storage either 32GB or GB storage, and expandable up to 32 with MicroSD card Slot. It supports a micro-USB socket and a micro HDMI port.

Acer has been known for its laptop for years. With its new Iconia W4, it should have aimed to boost popularity and sales.

Availability and Price

 This month, it will first ship in the US available in two versions: 32 GB for $330 and 64GB for $380. Acer also offers useful accessories to users.
