The Globe Tower Designs End-To-End in-Building Solution

Globe Telecom, leader in Mobile and Internet Connectivity, has partnered with Huawei Technologies. Reason? They will provide  a state-of-the-art technology and build-wireless service solution particularly with the company's new corporate headquarters situated at country's premier business district in Bonifacio Global City.

Will Globe Tower provides seamless coverage?
To acquire this dedicated seamless indoor coverage, Globe features in-building solution with its location-based services and applications.

With this end-to-end in-building solution, it will deploy quite useful design of hybrid fiber and RF coaxial distributed antenna system (DAS) that will give a high-capacity mobile broadband services in The Globe Tower.

This design will give consistent and seamless coverage in all areas 28-floors of The Globe Tower. To guarantee for optimized network performance and satisfied customer experience, Globe Telecom adopts the in-building solution using Huawei's industry-leading software – Radio (SDR) wireless access technology said the Head of Globe's Radio Network Engineering Gerhard Tan.

“In order to guarantee an optimal network performance and seamless customer experience, Globe has adopted an industry-leading in-building solution using Huawei’s industry-leading software defined radio (SDR)wireless access technology,”.
This SDR multi-frequency technology allows wireless services on both 2G, 3G, and LTE in GLOBE to be assigned in different frequencies like 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 2100 MHz bands. In addition, this IBS solution designs to give future wireless access technologies.

Tan said:

“With this IBS solution all Globe employees and visitors will enjoy up to 70 Mbps data download speed anywhere inside The Globe Tower. Partnering with Huawei and deploying its fully integrated in-building solution guarantees optimum network performance, highlighting the company’s superiority in mobile broadband services,”.
The Globe Tower implements IBS solution to provide indoor mobile broadband services.

For now, The Globe Tower will be a main HUB of company's transactions. Additionally, Globe employees have its new home.

The structure is also aligned with the Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) standards, a green building rating system from the United States Green Building Council, in line with the company’s commitment to corporate sustainability.
