HOW TO: Report Posts in Facebook?

Facebook is yet a great way to communicate, connect, socialize, and share feelings/ideas/opinions to other friends. There is no doubt that Facebook has been in TOP 1 in the web chart. Though, as quote says, "great power comes with  great responsibility". Sometimes.....No, at most times, Facebook had influenced negative side in a large scale perspective too. We may not see it, but some people used and loved to send spam messages, offensive/obscene images, and exaggerated statuses – in which this is very annoying and exposed threat or privacy. Don't pretend, we have these kind of friends. (or should I say, strangers).

While, having billions of users worldwide, Facebook has a great difficulty handling with these spammers, hackers, and abusers. So how do we report a spam/abuse message/status to the Facebook?

Here, you will know how and some frequently asked questions.

Facebook is the number 1 social media site that gives the user a powerful way to express & share feelings and ideas in each individual timeline.

Facebook also offers the users from different countries to publish and share their own chessy, over-acting, exaggerating, and offensive stories or statuses.  And though, we have our own opinions or ideas expressed, we should take it more responsibly.
Despite of this powerful feature, Facebook has SPAMMER or ABUSER too. And we ask ourselves with this: how to report this spammer? To balance the needs and interests of a global population, Facebook protects ideas, stories, opinions, and expressions that meets the community standards.

These standards should understand and know what type of content we should not share and express.

Standards may have the following:
  • Violence and Threats
  • Self-Harm
  • Bullying and Harassment
  • Hate Speech
  • Graphic Content
  • Nudity and Pornography
  • Identity and Privacy
  • Intellectual Property
  • Phishing and Spam
  • Security

It is important to understand that these standards are somewhat a guideline for us to ponder our minds not to engage with such posts.

It is also advisable not to ABUSE reports or blocks without any  single piece of evidence. Facebook will evaluate the individual's report.

Now, I will be giving few tips on how to report posts or block a certain person.

How to report a posts in Facebook?
In reporting a spam or abuse post, it is well-advised to know what type of content should report at the first place. If you know or see something that believe it violated the Facebook terms, then this is the right time to report.

see more here: Facebook Legal Terms

When reporting too, Facebook will be able to know and then review it individual for accuracy on what you had reported. So be sure not to abuse report.

These are:
  • Violence and Threats, Self-Harm, Bullying and Harassment, Hate Speech, Graphic Content
