Disguise Cells Sites To Palm Trees - Globe Telecom

Since the announcement of implementation of the newest state-of-the-art-technology, ODAS or Outdoor Distributed Antenna System, here, Globe Telecom introduced the use of cell sites transformed and disguised as palm trees.

The use of the tree-shaped cellphone towers will improve the signal especially on the external villages. The said project built with $790 million network and IT modernization program.

As part of the program, both ODAS and Palm trees made a necessary steps to strengthen and to improve wireless signals.

Emmanuel Estrada, Globe Head of Network Technologies Strategy referred $790 million as part of the program to be completed within the year.

He said:
"The use of tree-shaped cellphone towers is part of Globe Telecom’s efforts to improve wireless signal in exclusive villages in line with our network transformation initiative".
The enhancement of the aesthetic tree solution made connectivity more utilized especially in Urdaneta Village in Makati City, Estrada elaborates.

These palm-tree cellphone towers considered as eye sores which make it most effective in disguising yet these cells will give beautification in the area.
