I'm pretty sure you know this man. The man that the history of science had known. In high school years, this man, introduced to Science Subjects and let instructor discussed the study and life of this man. However, Why did Google Featured it in their website?

Most of us certainly know Nicolaus Copernicus, though sometimes we failed to remember his name but whenever we see his name, we will be able to recall who this man is.

But if in case you dont know this man or you completely forgotten Nicolaus Copernicus. We are part of the aging group, easily forgotten. :) anyways. Who is Nicolaus Copernicus?


Nicolaus Copernicus was a known astronomer, Polish Renaissance mathematician and born on February 19, 1473. Yes, happy 540th birthday, and Google featured him in their website.

Nicolaus Copernicus had been known for his comprehensive model, a model of heliocentric(heliocentric theory), which means the SUN is the center of the universe and not the Earth. Because historically, they have really thought that Earth was the center of the universe.

With that, before his death in 1543, his epochal book publication, De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium (On the Revolutions of the Celestial Spheres),  had become famous in the history of science.

His not only an great astronomer and mathematician, jurist with a doctorate in law,physician, quadrilingual polyglot, classics scholar, translator, artist,Catholic priest, governor, diplomat and economist.
