Tropical Depression - Bising: 2nd Tropical Depression This Year

For this month of January, Philippines already had a 2 Tropical Cyclone for this year 2013. The naming scheme of this cyclone reset back to letter "A" for the new year which named next depression  alphabetically. Tropical Depression, Bising, second cyclone to hit Philippine territory -- Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this month and expected to experience more typhoon.

Forecasted at 6:00am, January 12, 2013, the PAGASA said via Facebook post that the center of Bising was estimated to be at 190 km Norteast of Borongan, Eastern Samar. Bising has maintained its strength and carried sustained winds of 45 kph near center and moving to northwest at 13 kph.

The weather bureau stated Signal No.1 in Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay and Sorsogon, Northern, Western and Eastern Samar. And warned to those people living in mountainous areas to be alert for possible flashfloods.

In January 15, 2013 Tuesday, Bising, expected to be at 580 Km norteast of Basco Batanes.

Tropical Depression “BISING” has maintained its strength as it moves North Northwestward.
Location of eye/center: At 4:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “BISING” was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 170 km Northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar (12.0°N, 127.0°E).
Strength: Maximum winds of 45 kph near the center.
Movement: Forecast to move North Northwest at 13 kph.
Forecast Positions: Tropical Depression “BISING” is expected to be at 110 km Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes by tomorrow morning and at 360 km East of Aparri, Cagayan by Monday morning. By Tuesday morning, it is expected to be at 580 km Northeast of Basco, Batanes.

Luzon: Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay and Sorsogon.
Visayas: Northern, Western and Eastern Samar.
* Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.

* Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 – 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression.
* Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon and over the eastern seaboard of Southern Luzon and Visayas due to Tropical Depression “Bising” and the Northeast Monsoon.
