Smart & MMDA: 1st Cine-Phone Film Festival

Smart Communications, Inc and the MMDA(Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) spearheaded the 1st Cine-Phone Film Festival. Now, you are free to choose the next indie movie film.
Cinephone festival is the festival short film making movie competition among high school and college students nationwide. Well, this is a indie firm and it should have 3 minutes movie and completely recorded using mobile phones. 

To tell the nation with stories, students have the opportunity to create quality film by using a cellphones.

In 1975 MMDA started to organize Metro Manila Film Festival and it is annually presented locally to produce films during the Christmas Season.

In 2011, MMDA Chairman Francis N. Tolentino inspired the development and continued popularity of independent films in the country and expressing his support to the sector, announced the addition of the New Wave Section to widen the scope of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
The Section was then composed of the New Wave Full Feature Film and a subsection for budding student artists called the Students’ Short Films.
